Expert tutoring in science and maths from grade 8 to 12, and university chemistry, biology, biochemistry and statistics. I am an experienced research scientist who left the lab to teach based on my love of tutoring. Now I am going back to tutoring full time because I missed it.
In my experience there isn't a more effective way to teach complex concepts and instill deep understanding than one on one tutoring. My previous students commonly progressed from being on the edge of failing their subjects (C/D border) to passing very comfortably (A/B) within six months. I help students focus on their immediate challenges in their subjects, while using my extensive knowledge to tie in broader conceptual connections to make subsequent studies more effective. I also enjoy teaching more general strategies for problem solving and content mastery.
Come to my comfortable leafy studio in Alderley. Rates are at $50 per hour, but I am happy for you to bring a classmate to share the costs. Rates negotiable for repeat customers. I am available Monday to Wednesday afternoons from 3 pm to 8 pm.
